I'm a web and graphic designer/flash artist at SkillQ in Gulf Breeze Florida. I really like creating websites. Even though I'm paid to create to be a web and graphic designer, I really enjoy photography, illustration, and painting. Its great having a wide range of skills because it motivates me and enables me to become a better designer.
Geo Trice III is a HTML guru. A graduate of UWF, Geo received a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology and a Bachelor's of Art in Art. On top of that he minored in Telecommunications and Film and completed the rigorous UWF Honors Program with his thesis on 3D modeling for video games. Never afraid to try new things, he participated in a variety of extra-curricular activities, most notably the UWF Art Club and WebSpinners, the university's web design club.
Currently thriving in Pensacola, Florida, he's certainly gotten around having lived in such places as Hawaii, Misawa, Japan, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. His current hobbies include learning to play the piano, reading novels, and developing his photography skills (no pun intended). As far as current goals go, he wants to become an Adobe Certified Expert in Flash and Dreamweaver and buying a house. He enjoys great sushi, hockey, and visiting art museums.
From 2007 to 2008, I created posters and banners for the University of West Florida Art Gallery. These posters and banners were used to announce upcoming shows that were coming to the gallery. You can see them in the Gallery. Some visiting artists included Billie Grace Lynn, Dawn DeDeaux, Luisa Basnuevo, and Mark Dion.
Beginning in January of 2007 and lasting until September of 2007, I took a paid internship with Dr. Prayaga. During this internship, I collaborated on the design and basic development process of six different educational video games. The internship was with Math Matters, a collaborative project between the University of West Florida and the Escambia County School District, whose aim was to utilize educational video games as an educational tool for seventh- and eight-grade students.
During the summer and fall of 2007, I worked for Dr. Lakshmi Prayaga. It was my responsibility to create, format, caption, and generally prepare all of the figures and screenshots that were used in a book that Hamsa Suri and Dr. Lakshmi Prayaga were co-authoring, entitled Beginning Game Programming with Flash.
